This is one of my favourite months! I love celebrating Valentine's Day! Each year I always get some students who squirm when they hear the words love and Valentine's Day. I'm looking forward to the discussions we'll be having this week about love. Through readings and writings, we're going to learn about what love is, what it looks like, and how we can show real love in our actions. There are so many misconceptions on what love is, I look forward to challenging the students to put love in action at home, at school and anywhere they go. Love is tightly bound up in good deeds, respect, going the extra mile for someone and giving selflessly. It's going to be a great week in preparation for Valentine's Day!
A reminder that we'll be having our Valentine's Day party on Friday, February 12th. The students are encouraged to bring in cards for their classmates and also a small treat for the class on Friday. A reminder that our school is a nut free environment! Thanks for your support!
