It's April!

Happy April! We all hope the spring like weather will be here this month! This month has a lot of great things happening in our class. On April 24th, the grade one classes will be heading to the Science Centre to learn about energy! We can't wait for it! In class, we've been doing some Spring writing and continue to work on persuasive writing. The children are learning how to organize their work, write drafts and edit their work as well. Along with the writing, we still continue to review grammar and punctuation. In Math, we have finished off Data Management and we are now working on Number Patterns and Linear Measurement this month. We've finished off our Energy unit in Science and are looking at the Seasonal Changes. A reminder that students are to be reading at least 20 minutes each night along with their daily homework. This month is also Easter and the long weekend. Happy Easter to all those celebrating and I hope the children and their families enjoy the long weekend this month!
