Happy February!

It's the love month! Happy February! This month we continue to work on our procedural writing and we are also starting up report writing! The children are progressing well with their reading, please remind your child to read a minimum of TWO books each night for at least 15 minutes! In Math, we are learning about two dimensional shapes and three dimensional solids. In Social Studies, we are learning about Our Local Community and we look forward this month to our guest speaker who is a firefighter! Also, we have the great opportunity to experience ice skating which we have done on January 31st and will be doing on February 14th as well! Please be sure children are coming to school every day with warm outdoor clothing, including snowpants and scarves! This month is the Sharing Assembly and our class will be singing a song in it. Please stay tuned for the date and you are welcome to come see your child perform in front of the school! On February 14th, we will be celebrating Valentine's Day! Children are welcome to bring in valentine cards for their friends. We will be making Valentine bags and will have a fun party with cupcake decorating and a fun valentine movie! This is going to be a super love month of learning and fun!
