The Gift that Keeps on Giving...

Valleyfield's character trait focus this month is Kindness and Caring. Our class has been discussing a lot about homelessness and giving of our time and hearts. We decided that we can reach out to those in Toronto but also to the other parts of the world! Our class has decided to raise money to help a poor family in India! What are we going to buy them? A cow of course! Through the Compassion organization we are able to raise funds to provide a poor, rural family in India a cow which they can use for themselves as well as breed. This will be a great income for the family and help in more ways then just one. What a perfect gift for our class since we've just finished learning about the farming community that has dairy cattle and what it provides to us in the urban community! Thank you to those parents who are helping with this and giving funds to your children as they do chores around the house for this family in need!
