Happy 2010! I hope everyone had a great holiday! We're off to a great start this term. This week we have started our Measurement Unit which will be focusing on length, perimeter and area. In Language, the class has also started a Fairy Tale Unit where we will be reading and comparing different fairy tales and fractured fairy tales. We will then be creating our very own fractured fairy tales.
A reminder that students are starting up again with homework this week. The children are reading daily and recording their reading times in their Reading Records. Please Parents/Guardians, be sure to initial their Reading Records and their agendas each and every night.
I've sent home today our Math Test from term one that the students will need you to initial and then return to school. If you have any comments about their academic progress, please feel free to contact me at the school.
Tutoring will begin again next week. Stay tuned for any information that may come home this week about the tutoring sessions for your child.
