This coming month in May, the Grade 3's are busy completing their Social Studies unit in Early Settlers and Pioneers. On May 16th, our Grade 3's will be visiting the Humber Arboretum to learn about our new upcoming Science unit about Plants and Soils. The Grade 2's continue to be learning about the States of Matter in Science. The Grade 2's will also be going on a trip to the Harbourfront on May 23rd with the other Grade Two classes. In Language, we have finished creating our News articles and we will begin report writing which will include doing research on a topic each student will choose to learn about. In Math, the Grade Two's are working on 3D geometry and the Grade Three's are learning about Number Patterns in Numbers and Geometry. The standardized testing of EQAO will be done at the end of May for the Grade Three's. Please stay tuned for information that will be sent home on the dates of this test and ways to help prepare your child for test taking.
