Terry Fox Run
Valleyfield will be doing the Terry Fox Run this Friday, September 28. The Terry Fox Run is always an exciting event at our school because the students love to actively help raise money for Cancer Research, and they also love having an afternoon of running instead of being in class! Our school goal is to raise $1000 dollars. Our class has decided to set a goal to raise $300 just in our class! I've tried to make it fun for the kids by saying that if they do raise that amount, then I would be willing to wear a beard for a day! They loved the wacky idea! Some students in our class are even saying we can raise $400! I love how they set their goals so high! If nothing else, this experience is teaching the students that they can make a difference in the world, just like the one man Terry Fox. We are proud of this Canadian and we look forward to running on Friday in memory of him and for finding a cure to Cancer!
