In Science class we have been researching about different structures from around the world. The students chose a famous structure and have been learning about how the structure was made and why it was made. The famous structures chosen were The Tower of Pisa, Eiffel Tower, CN Tower, Taj Mahal, Casa Loma, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Great Wall of China, The Pyramids, and the Sydney Opera House. The students have been taking notes and then will write up a short report on their structure.

Valentine's Day is this Monday and we will be having a Valentine's Day party in class. A class list has been sent home if students would like to make cards for their friends. It would be great if the students could bring in a treat for the party to share with the class. A reminder that Valleyfield is a nut-free school--thank you!

Also sent home today was the Parent/Teacher Interview forms that need to be returned in order to set up a time to meet with me. I would encourage all parents to make an effort to set up a time since I didn't have the opportunity to meet with some parents in the beginning of the school year. Report cards will be sent home either at the end of this week or the beginning of next week.
